A third generation artist /designer, Allan Guy lives and works in Manassas, VA, near the Potomac River where his family settled around 1650. His company, A. Guy Studio, specializes in premium branding for the quality goods markets.
A BFA East Carolina University graduate, Mr. Guy has years of experience with NY firms, working for LAGA, one of the nation’s top branding firms and for Gianninoto Assoc., one of the oldest U.S. firms focusing on specialty goods design.
Mr. Guy has worked with many national & international companies, including Bacardi (designing Bacardi Limon, the top-selling new spirit for the entire decade of the 90's), Brown-Forman, Jim Beam, Cadbury Schweppes, A&W Root Beer, Sara Lee Coffees & Teas, etc.
His clients now include many VA/MD wineries. He was asked by the Distilled Spirits Council to design packaging for George Washington Rye Whiskey, distilled at Mount Vernon. He designed the arts magazine, “The Cultural Times,” in CO, museum exhibits and corporate IDs for a variety of organizations, including ATR, a D.C. lobbying group.
Mr. Guy has painted and fished through the Appalachians, Catskills, Adirondacs, Montana and Wales.
